Wow! That is extremely rare for a Aveo! How many times did you replace the timing belt? I have 2 Aveo's, a 2005 and a 2008.
I had the timing belt changed 3 times. 1st time was at 90,798 miles. I had the timing belt and water pump changed. When the mechanic gave me my old parts they looked hardly worn, however I did not want to take any chances with the timing belt braking. The second time was at 221,798 I had the timing belt kit installed w/ the tensioner. and a water pump. When the mechanic gave me my old parts they were in good shape especially the plastic black pulley wheel. I just did nit what to take any chances, The third time I had the timing belt changed was at 245,796. I had a valve cover leak and some motor oil got on the timing belt and the mechanic suggested that I replace it.
I usually do not go more that 60 mph and I do not race the car. I drive it with tender loving care. I am always checking and changing my fluids at the proper intervals. I used to drive approx., 120 miles round trip every day. This was mostly highway driving from New York City to upstate New York. I purchased the car new in April 2007. It's a good little car.
is this apr '07 the first gen still? this is great news if so.. thats over twice where im at now

My '08 has 250,000 on it, but it has been sitting out in my corn filed since last summer till I have time to replace the clutch. Other than that I changed the timing belt and water pump every 50,000 miles and like yourself I don't drive the car over 60 mph, even in higher speed zones. I have been running Amsoil in mine since I bought it new and does not burn a drop of oil. You don't see too many Aveo's on the road anymore, it fact it is very rare!
