hey this forum is freaking sweet. found it looking for ideas for an intake system for my 04 Aveo hatch.
right now its fairly stock,
-i debadged it except for the bowtie on the back
-35% tint all around
-to out the intake resonator right now, still looking for an intake system at a good price.
-aftermarket fog lights
-working on red interior lights.
well i'd like to get some wheels and eventually lower it, but i'm a college student and dont have to much money, so its going to take a while. as far as the near future i want to put some sort of intake on it, ram or cai but still not sure whats the best. right now i'm working on the interior, i'm wiring in red neon's and i want to change to color of the gauges to red too. hopefully i'll get that done in the next week or two.
-also i forgot i have a thule roof rack, for my Mtb and BMX bikes.
I have one of the first gen Aveo hatches. a 2004
With the updated factory intake and MAS it is still costly to replace the pipe correctly.
Building your own would be more cost effective than buying say an Injen (which i particularly like)
One upside to the increased noise is the ability to recognize misfire which is fairly common on Aveos due to poor craftsmenship of the E-TECH II engine.
Buy one of the cheap ones off ebay, the only things inferior about them is heat soaking, mounting straps, and "cheaper" filter. Coating them inside and out with hi temp paint will fix most of the heat issue. Making your own mounts will fix that issue, and the filter i have not seen one yet that is actually terribly bad for the car. Particulate size is the concern here.
If you have a first gen E-tech engine i think there is a direct fit one listed. the ecotech engine needs on adapted from a 92 accord..
