I have an 06 spicy orange svm sedan aveo 5-speed. It currently has 65000 on it and I'm getting 33city/ 37highway. I hypermile this car for max mpg and I'm wondering if anyone else practices this driving method? Ive been doing it for a year now.Top mpg is 39.1 without a scangauge. I have cooper cs4 touring tires I run at 44psi. Only real mod to my aveo is a k&n air filter. I run 0w30 mobile 1 full synthetic oil .I am laid off ,but when I was working my commute was 140miles per day from 1 hr north of the twin cities here in MN to the metro. I am a union carpenter.

Sounds like you're getting pretty good MPG with your Aveo. My Aveo isn't running yet (see sig), but I plan on seeing what kind of mileage I can get out of it. I hypermile some of my other vehicles.

Good luck in the contest. The SG2 is a great tool for fine tuning efficient driving techniques (among lots of other things).

I forgot to add that my 06sv is really more then an sv yeah it was heat and keys when I bought it but it had 11,000 miles on it and got it for a good price. The dealer added cruise and ac for a fair price for me so I got what I want now... Didn't want power windows or locks didn't care much for those things.
