ok ok this is all making sense to me now. so are those dimensions for the rim or the tire, or are they the same?? also, do i have to get rims that have the same bolt pattern as the ones i have now, or is that something that can change?

my AVEO to VEOlicious for you babe
the "r" number is the rim size, so if its r15 on the tire its meant for a 15" rim r18 is for an 18" rim.. etc.
the first number is the width, stock is 185mm tread width, the 205 is 205mm wide or 20mm wider than stock, about 7/8" wider.
the middle number is sidewall % typically this number needs to decrease as rim size goes up, or the tire gets wider, or both. at least to keep the same outside circle as oem, this is important for gauge accuracy and rubbing.
the bolt pattern must stay the same, 4x100.
and you will also want hubcentric rings that match the wheel and go to 56.6mm..
oh gosh , so much to remember. can you just come to chicago and go rim shopping with me haha.

haha..just pick a style/rim you like and we tell you which you need for it to fit.
i have 15's and i love them (have some pics in car domain i think) if you get some new rotors and paint the hardware, it makes them look bigger
but i am biased and hate anything bigger than 15 inches on an aveo
hahah fur shure, well i decided on going with 16. id ont think i could do 17, seem to big.

Not really i have an LT and my alloy rims are 14s not 15sOriginally Posted by serega12
i do have a lot of people comment on how small my rims are, but when i get those coilovers on there, it will work fine, well the rims and tires are a bit cheaper at the same time
15s look small because most people in florida drive donks with 30 or something.
