Introducing the New Forum Social Customer Service Team for OnStar

We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves as the OnStar Customers Assistance Representatives from the OnStar Social Media group. The OnStar Social Media group is responsible for scanning over forums, including this one, in order to provide customer service to those who utilize them. We are looking forward to assisting those with concerns on the site. This would include interacting with the customer in hopes that we can reach some kind of resolution together. We are excited to be a part of this online community and hope that we are able to provide assistance here.

I think it would be appropriate for everyone, including the newly welcomed GM team of employees (why is a group of them necessary to be on this list?) to read this thread (click here). I would hope that the Aveo owners who are members of this list that have expressed their views at being less than enthused with on-star do not become intimidated by the presence of a corporate squad of GM employees being allowed to monitor this forum. I can't imagine that these GM corporate employees would ever say anything critical of on-star. I do have reservations about them being here to defend and promote their product. I also question why a squad of corporate employees was sent here, or why they are permitted to be in our midst.

Thymeclock - I understand your concern, I just wanted to let you know that we are here for support, not here to promote or defend our product. We joined the forum, and many others, to get a better connection to our subscribers with questions or concerns so that we can reach a quick resolution together.

I believe the sentence I'm looking for is: GM and OnStar want to make their cars as Trouble-Free and as enjoyable as possible; so they are joining the various Forums to hear Straight from the Horse's Mouth (the Vehicle Owner or Leaser) of various issues with their car or OnStar. That way, if a Customer has a Dealer that is being unhelpful or Knowingly denies Valid Warranty Work to squeeze money out of the Customer, they can Tell GM DIRECTLY, so they can enjoy their car without getting the runaround, and not lose Hundreds (or thousands) of Dollars to a Shady, Greedy Dealer!

I for one, Welcome our Friends from GM! they will probably be a Powerful asset to help us keep our Aveos/Kaloses/Barinas/G3s/Sonics/Gentras in Top Notch Condition, so we can enjoy them for MANY Years to come!
