I just put a new serpentine belt on my Aveo5 this afternoon. I didn't jack up the car, only turned the wheel to allow the tires to point towards the passenger side.

Man it was a pain to get the new belt on. When I inspected the old belt it was cracked lengthwise in some places. Glad I did it and saved some $$$!

The gas latch is an easy fix, grab your s/n on the car and go to the chevy dealer (steeler). The part was actually affordable and easy to replace for me.

Next time jack the car up, that way you can run a longer breaker bar to the tensioner. Glad you got it changed!
