I think in this case pictures of the installed product are better than how to. You can read through this thread, it has more info about it: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9305Originally Posted by johnnymac

So much gets posted while I'm working in the garage.
Figure it out? It's the second link half way down. I forgot I think I organized it into a how to for aveonetwork.
Welcome. I like you already, you traded in an actual clunker for a good car, not something with a sticky accelerator pedal.
My dad traded in an old '94 Ford Ranger too... He wanted a Pontiac G6, unfortunately, the finance company forced him into this:
sorry the picture's blury. it's a 2006 Nissan Maxima 3.5SL. I've driven it and I can't stand driving it. It floats around corners, the steering is numb, the rear-window is a gun-slit, the engine takes forever to react when the pedal is pressed, and the whole thing feels like you're driving a battleship. To me it belongs in the sea with the other boats. On the up-side it has heated seats, heated steering wheel, the side view mirrors tilt down when you put it in reverse.... On the downside (besides what I already mentions) it's leather and an auto-slushbox. Dad's just driving it biding his time til his credit score is high enough to get what he really wants. A brand new Chevy Silverado crew cab 4x4 LTZ in Granite Blue Metallic.
- 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 - LQ1 3.4L DOHC 24 valve semi-hemi V6, 210 HP, 215 ft-lbs of torque, 4T60e 4 speed automatic with O/D.... 123,000+ miles. Slowly resto-modding it.
- looking for a first gen Aveo for a daily driver :D
At least it's not flaccid like the steering in the Versa!Originally Posted by Z34guy
Hmm... that's weird that you don't like maxima, I thought it was a pretty nice ride when I got to ride in one a few years back. And for soft suspension you could always install some coilovers and sway bars. As far as the engine responsiveness - its a luxury sedan, so it handles differently because of its weight. I'm pretty sure it shares the same motor as is found in 350Z, so many after market mods will work on maxima. Whether he wants to put time and money into all that is an entirely different story, especially since the truck you're talking about is his dream ride.

it's marketed as a luxury SPORTS sedan. It shouldn't feel like it's going to roll over on a simple 20MPH turn.Originally Posted by serega12

Does he like it? 'Cause that's what really matters...Originally Posted by Z34guy

He says it's a good car (I say that's debatable) but it gets him to work and back. He's said he doesn't like it because it's an import.Originally Posted by serega12
