welcome congratulations.
why the move? and even though a lot of americans don't know europe isn't a country :P what country are you from?
this may seem strange but do you or family members back home have access to auto salvage yards?? Cant blame me for trying. Hope u like it here, congrats on the chevy
Welcome to the site.
I moved here on a green card. I believe that I can achieve much more here as a graphic designer than back home.
My home back there is the Republic of Macedonia, a small country in the south east of Europe.
And yes Pooh Man, i have friends and family who have access to more than one auto salvage yard. :)
So far I am loving it here, its even better than I hoped for.
Welcome, and good luck with your Aveo!
Virtually everyone in America welcomes new immigrants who come here legally, as you have. :)
Washington state is very far from Macedonia. Why did you choose that particular place to live, here in America? Why did you choose to own an Aveo?
I chose WA because my sister in law lives here so it was a good place to start. Plus I have always had a very good opinion about Seattle (especially when the Sonics were in town) Countless nights watching them play.
Since I am new here, with little credit history, options were limited for buying a car. I wanted something i can afford which was about 8000-8500 and something that was close to 2010 or 2011 and had good gas mileage. I liked the GM warranty and first I was hooked to an 2011 Aveo 2LT which got sold under my nose. And then, this one came into my view.
So thats it. Now i read and read on on how to make it look better via this forum. :)
that's great keen j I hate to be forward but perhaps you could find some salvageable turbo manifolds from the folks back at home and make yourself some $ while helping us out. It is very difficult to find Europeans that will ship used parts here, best of luck and hope things fall into place for you....
PM me with details.
America sucks, you should have gone to canada
Try living in a country with 400 bucks a month (which is lower than the national average) with your unemployed parents paying 2000 yearly for college being so much and in debt that no banking can save you and then come bitch about your home-country.
You should be grateful you are living here instead some ****hole.
I am grateful. I just would rather LIVE in canada. Healthcare, crime, weather, reasons for starters.
Keen job, sounds like you are talking about the u.s., wealthiest nation with the largest gap between the rich and poverty, big pay inequality. Don't take this as hate talk, u.s. DOD still signs my check. But it is a problem
well this thread went downhill fast.
yeah, let's keep the Politics to a minimum please, and do what needs to be done in this section: which is Welcome New Members, and help them get settled into our Forums. so to the OP: any Mods planned for your Aveo or are you here for advice to Keep your Aveo running for years to come?
Yes let's just not pick anymore fights yes? Go aveos! Bringing peace to the masses

These are my planned upgrades (on which i will probably need the forums's help and advice):
- 14 inch rims
- splash guards
- 2 din or single din stereo (w/bluetooth)
- front speakers (4 inch)
- sound insulation (the noise is driving me crazy)
- air vent caps (i would like to find ones that have chrome edges)
- leather or synthetic-leather back seat covers (have 3 dogs)
- aftermarket armrest (dark gray preferably)
