      New Kid X2

Hey guys, Im new to this site and yes I ripped off another post from this section cause I didn't see another way to say hi haha and yes i did make some other posts questionin about the pontiac G3's prior to this one.

I just got my drivers license Im 17 (im young as hell, i know *swearing goes around in the room *) and my dad just gave me his 08 Wave. and the first thing he said to me was I know its a POS (piece of s***) but its great on gas, its good for your first car and then he suckered me in to pay for the rest his finance for the next 4 years on this car ..... SO i drove it and I liked it, its a tiny car but it gets the job done and the sedan looks quite classy for such a crappy car (no offense we all know it is)

So i do what a normal young kid would do i looked into perfomance tuning and realised theres not much really that should be done to such a small engine.. i mean you CAN but whats the point? lol thus i looked at bodykits and found there were none for the sedan and i found this forum... and hallealuyah awesome ppl we got here.

Things that are gonna be done to the wave:
      - gonna find a air intake to install dont know if i want SRI or CAI (cai takes more work )
      - Put some nice lookin rims for it cause im tired of lookin at this crappy factory hub cap
      - Body kit, side skirts, front lip, bumpers ect ect MAYBE fenders

its not a bad car at all, it can be fast with a ton of money just like any car, I would strongly suggest the CAI over the SRI, the only extra work is jacking up the car and moving the splash shield over which is easy, getting some smaller rims and tires cheap of craigslist is another option, i would not worry about a bodykit though

if you want to add some power then add a header from xaiogory, do some exhaust work and possibly look into some cam gears and cams, we are also doing a underdrive pulley group buy as well, of course it cost money though

+1 on the CAI. You call that more work while you're thinking about installing a body kit? CAI will take you an hour or two at most, while body kit will take a day or two to fit if you're doing it on your own, plus getting it painted.... Plus, if you're going with a body kit and rims, you'll want to lower it too.

And back to CAI vs SRI, SRI is not worth the effort. You won't notice much gain, while with CAI you will. You should look into exhaust too...

hey man im new to this site to, but i'd also recommend the CAI.
I can understand getting rims but a body kit is unnecessary right now you know? stick to some hp gain and once your satisfied get yourself some bodywork

Unless you drive a civic. Then you get 50 HP instantly.
