2006 Chevrolet Aveo5 1.6l auto. 191k miles. Sat for 16 months prior to me acquiring it for $200. Replaced pcv valve as it had been blowing oil into the throttle body, causing smoke issues (reason original owner parked it) changed intake pipe, it dry rotted. Timing belt kit installed 2 months before parking. New air filter, and fresh oil change yesterday. Valve cover gasket on the way. Going to use sludge vac on cam shafts and valves tomorrow. Small sludge buildup. Any suggestions or tips for cleaning the block and head where valve cover leaked?

Yeah, I got a good deal on it. Yeah, I've got it running smooth as new now, just waiting for vc gasket before I drive it too much. What thread is the question under?
