      Hi everyone,

      my name is Nautikuus and I'm from Germany.

      I came here by accident and decided to register.

      Below pictures of my 2009 Aveo 1.2LS (1.206ccm/73,59cui; 62/60kw (fuel/LPG)) 2-door hatchback (german model) with a BRC "Sequent Plug&Drive" LPG-system (dealer-installed before delivery).

      The first one two days after I got it, the second one after I got my new wheels. More tuning to come as fast as my money allows... *g*

      Greetings,

      Nautikuus

      Edit: As ordered by Serega12 *g* I added some pictures and two short video clips of my Philips Silver Vision turn-signal bulbs. I hope the clips work, they are the first ones I did with my cellphone...

      Thanks... I couldn't see those butt-ugly steel-wheels anymore. The next step will be either Dotz Shuriken White Edition or OZ Alleggerita HLT (white). The ones in the picture will be used for the winter.

      I hope my finances allow me to complete all my plans soon.

      Nautikuus

      Welcome man. Nice ride. What mods do you have planned for it?

      I wish we could have your car (3 door hatch) and our engines (1.6L 16V)...

      I wish we had the *choice* of engines that people get outside of North America.

      Here, GM (well, most manufacturers) thinks that "one size fits all".

      Welcome to the forum!

      @Serega + MetroMPG:

      Here in Germany the Aveo is offered as 2- and 4-door hatchback and as a 4-door sedan with either the 1.2L/62kw or the 1.4L/74kw inline-4cyl-engine (the 1.4 is available with MT or AT). For the 1.2L hatchback a factory-approved LPG-system can be ordered which is installed at the dealer who delivers the car to the customer. This way the full warranty is still intact.

      The smaller engines in Germany are a product of our strange tax system (more displacement and/or more CO2-output => more taxes). Therefor we have a trend of minimizing the engine size.

      What I'd like to see is an AVEO with the basic design of the newly shown AVEO RS (but as a 2-dr hatch) with the 1.6L/141kw (192hp) Ecotec-Turbo which is offered in the 2010 Opel Corsa OPC (have a look at Opel.de if the model isn't offered in Canada/USA).

      @serega:

      I plan only slight mods because I use the Aveo as my daily driver:

      - K&N replacement airfilter (no other engine mods because of the manufacturer's warranty)
      - new wheels (see above)
      - trailer hitch (here in Germany the Aveo is rated for towing: Trailer without/with brakes: 880lb/2.200lb(2.425lb for the 1.4L-engine; no difference between the sedan and the 2dr/4dr-hatch) because I have a 850lb-minitrailer and plan to get a mini-Camper (either Knaus/Tabbert "T@B or and Dethleffs "MiniGlobe" which are both rated for a max wheight of around 2.000lb)
      - aluminium doorpins
      - 5" GPS/Navi for extended trips
      - LED taillights (as soon as there are any road-legal ones)
      - maybe a sport roofspoiler and a 30mm/1.2inch lowering kit. No bodykit or sport suspension because in my area the roads are full of bumps and more potholes than tarmac. The factory suspension combined with the 185/55 R15 wheels is ok for me.

      Other things on my wishlist but out of reach of my wallet are a 4WD conversion (the one thing I dreamed about whilst on the way home in 6-8" of snow this winter), MOV'IT brake system, custom leather seats and better soundsystem than the stock one. The catch is only that I need the full storage compartment and can't fill it with amps and stuff.

      @one_man_jam:

      Thanks... I hope I don't disappoint you with telling you that those were the cheapest I could find in a short time (about 100$/wheel instead of 330$ Chevrolet wanted for factory-alloys...)

      That much from me, I'm off to work.

      73,

      Nautikuus
