WHATS UP G3?? hows it going?
Re: New Member, Pontiac G3
Welcome to the site. Is the hood on your chevy painted or is that vinyl? Or did you go the same route as me and painted the sides of a carbon fiber hood?

Its painted. The car was originally white so I got the original paint for it mixed up with an Acura black and prepped the car. My dad ended up spraying it but I was hoping I could try.

Yeah especially now that Pontiac is gone, there are a few kicking around my town but I know the G3 wasn't a huge seller. I like the slight differences in the Pontiac though.

Yup, I think it was sold for a year or two in the states but has been on sale in Canada since day one (I'm pretty sure). It was called the Wave for most of it's life though. Actually I looked around a bit and noticed that the G3 is essentially a Holden Barina with a Pontiac Grill insert. The G3 has the same front end of the Barina as well as the slightly different interior when compared to an Aveo.

Welcome to the forums! Nice G3!
Re: New Member, Pontiac G3
Pontiac has a long history of offering a Canadian market version of whatever the entry level Chevy is in the U.S.
EG: way back when, Americans had the Chevy Chevette. Canadians got the Chevette and the Pontiac Acadian. (Same car, different badges).
Same with Geo / Chevy Metro = Pontiac Firefly
Chevy Aveo = Pontiac Wave / G3
The G3 was available in the US market in the last couple of years before Pontiac was axed, but the Wave / G3 was available in Canada from day 1 (late 2003 as a 2004 model).
I'm sure there are more examples out there.

Hey Sidewinder! I remember you from mymonte.com! Nice to see I'm not the only one looking into these neat little cars.
