New owner and user here

So I just got a 2004 Aveo a week or so ago.. Loved it so far. Great on gas!





I've made no changes since I got the car. The previous owner advised me that he changed the timing belt about a year ago. Today the tensioner pulley broke... But that's just my luck..

Anyway, about me... I'm a computer systems analyst... I know enough about cars to fumble my way through doing the work on my own, with refrences and videos to call upon as needed.... I am a family man, with a wife and three amazing boys that drive me insane.. That's about it...

Welcome Kup! Well that is a bummer, but not the end of the world. Be sure to search the site here as a few of us have dealt with the carnage (of broken belts) and belt replacement, documenting the process and tips found along the way.

Cool! You found the online mecca for Aveos! Among the many that just like to complain about the Aveo, there are a few of us that still like them and drive the wheels off.

Exactly! Just a little maintnance and you can make it last forever! There was one on Craigslist near me a few weeks ago that had 238k miles
