Hi guys as the subject states im from Australia and iv own my Barina which it is called here for just under a year. Just found this site and seems to be very useful and have seen alot of nice looking aveo's around on the site. So far what is on my barina is 15 inch wheels,spray painted purple calipers and drum,iridium spark plugs and blue street glow neons. I do plan on adding more mods such as king springs and HID but as usual money has to be in the pocket first.
love the rims, looks great!
Looks nice. I always loved the 2 door version that we never get in US. Everyone BUT United States gets it. 8)
Are those separate blue bulbs inside your headlights?

Thanks for the comments guys. The blue that coming out from my head lights r just led parkers which i picked up from an electrical store for $2.95 each. Think il pull them out when i get my HID done and just install white leds instead.

Yeh the rims were silver but during the holidays i sprayed it gold. I seem to like the rear end of the previous model of my barina more and has anyone tried changing the light of the speedometer. I don't really like it how its green haha

This is truly a great sight and after browsing the forums i have some few newbie quest to ask. As i said i like the rear end of the older version more so is it possible to take out my rear kit and put on say a 06 model rear bar n replace my rear lights with the 06 lights. Would it be a straight bolt on with the lights and rear bar or would there be modding's involved. Thanks in advance
You would need an 04-08 hatchback bumper to make the older lights fit. Also, post a picture of your gauges so I can see if yours are able to be changed.
Thanks for the quick reply i guess il have to go to my local wreckers and try and source out a rear bar. From reading the forums i think its pretty hard to change the lights on my gauges. The gauge below is exactly what i have on my barina and yeh it isn't so flashy. I have cracked it open though i couldnt see any bulbs.

Yes, he offers them in KPH too. Please buy from this guy, he's really good and agreed to make Aveo gauges for me if I could assure him he could sell at least 5. The LED's in your Barina are solder-mount style btw, so get out your iron. They're pretty cheap though, and fully customizable. You can create any combo you want basically.

They actually look good and very tempting haha. I shall consider ordering one once my paycheck has arrived :D. Im guessing these are pretty simple to install.
I've torn my gauges apart a few times already, it's pretty easy. Hardest part for me is gonna be changing the needles and soldering new led's in there.
Been awhile since i last updated this thread but mods so far that is done to the barina is CAI, Ignition leads + Iridium spark plugs and headers. I had been thinking alot about selling the car and move to the jdm side as iv test driven alot of my friends cars which consist of wrx's and evos and everytime i jump back into my car it just seems gutless haha. Anyways here are some pics of the car at the moment with the 17" buddy clubs as current rims and im loving them. Car just needs to get slammed for it to look better i rekon.

gun metal buddy club P1 racing. these are going on my car next week. They were given to me, one had a bent lip and was unrepairable so I ordered a new one. the touch up paint guy our dealership uses is supposed to touch up the other 3 todayQuote:

I will definitely post pics when they are on. My biggest issue though, for the front wheels, the cv shaft and axle nut stick out too far for the center caps. After our touch up guy touched up the 3 rims yesterday, they turned out really good.Quote:

It is lowered. I installed an eibach pro-kit which is listed at 1.4" front and 1" rear, along with the eibachs, i also installed KYB GR-2 rear shochs and KYB excell-2 front strutsQuote:
