Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
I hope I'm not too premature in joining this forum.
My husband and I spotted a great deal on a yellow 2007 Aveo5 LT RS on Saturday morning and started the wheels in motion to purchase it. As far as I know, we've been pre-approved for financing and they've placed a SOLD sign on it for us. We're now just waiting for everything to fall into place.
I've had my eye on the Aveo for quite a while now and over the past couple of weeks, while searching for just the right car, we had actually decided against the Aveo (not sure why, now that I think back) but what I wanted more than anything, was a manual hatchback. Now this vehicle isn't a manual transmission, but I can't complain. It is certainly a great deal and a neat little car.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello! and I hope I can introduce our little Aveo5 soon!

Welcome to the site!
Haha, nice name. How did you come up with it?
Re: Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
haha, glad you like the name! Often when I look at a new vehicle, a name just appears. Mildred suited this one. ;)
Re: Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
you won't complain about it so I will. ewwww..... automatic!
lol. welcome.
Re: Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
nice! i like millies fogs/cruise/ wheels. 8) welcome
Re: Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
Very nice... Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the site. I love that it's loaded, foglights and all the good stuff... even the black stripe along the side looks in it's place on that yellow.
I'd opt for a manual too though, but unfortunately they consider the auto an "upgraded option" because of added convenience of not having to shift all the time, where in our case it's just robbing us of power.
Anyways, congrats again and welcome to the site!
Re: Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
Ugh! I know. I really really wanted a manual transmission. I made a deal with my husband; If I opted for the Auto Aveo, that we could get a 5 speed next time. He agreed but I'm not too in much of a rush for a manual because we're pretty smitten with Millie.
Thanks for the Welcomes guys! :)

At 115,000 miles and being 46 yrs old I'm very happy with my automatic. Get in and drive, go places, see things and not worry if I miss a shift, or get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and have to shift.

that's what I find fun. with automatics, I feel detached and the car's an alien being just going through the motions. Besides. I'd like to see you text or play mafia wars while driving a manual.
Re: Soon-to-be Aveo5 owner (hopefully!)
WoW I didnt know you can play mafia wars while driving. I only do that on Facebook.
