And during the summer I will find out how brilliant my decision was to choose for window ventilation and not an a/c.
I love red cars (and 2 of my cars are red). Red cars seem to look good no matter what.

But you're in Jersey and you bought one with no A/C??? I'm starting to sweat just thinking about it.

I'm on Long Island and wouldn't want to be without A/C.

In my previous car I kept the A/C off as much as possible for various reasons and I'd end up using it maybe two weeks per year. I'm not saying it would be very nice to have - it definitely is - but I'll see how I get through this summer. Otherwise I will have to consider modding the car. Not a bad thing either.

Don't forget, last summer was comparatively a very cool one in this area - as summers go.

Hmm. Gonna make it an Aveo convertible? =D>

I know. But I've driven more than one summer with almost no airco. I'm not saying it is super comfortable. But it still beats riding a bike to work. And it's one piece less that can break or needs refilling. Worst case scenario I'll fit an a/c in, but there are a couple of other avenues to explore first.

Making the car a convertible seems indeed the way to go. Four saw cuts is all it needs. And at the end of the summer I can use the left over gaffer tape from the focus (didn't need that much for the driver side mirror) to stick the roof back to the car.

The alternative is to put plug an inverter into the power port and hook up a table-sized refrigerator that I put in the rear (rear seats down, obviously). Simply remove the door of the refrigerator and tadaa! Instant cooling.

Don't worry. I'm pretty good at physics. I know it doesn't work that way...

...because there is no air circulation! I will place a fan in the refrigerator to solve that.

A few packs of dynamat will solve that problem pretty quickly. Or just turn your sound up - you won't hear the road noise. Welcome to the forum.

I know you are joking about the refrigerator, but an electric fan might be a very useful idea. Back in the bad old days (before A/C) they actually made accessory fans for the interior of a car. I remember my father had one that had a rubber blade on it.

Tower A/C for a small room with a converter.

I can mount a propeller on my son's hamster wheel.

Heck, if I mount it on the roof I will even save gas.
