"the agents" must be a secret society
Actually not! its just another name for the manufacturers
Fuel management system upgrade? Did they just install a different fuel map or did u get some after market fuel management? Just asking because I'm interested in getting an after market fuel management system but not sure which one to get
Just saw your message, is you AVEO diesel or petrol? Mine is a diesel, I've had it since July and fuel consumption is a mega disaster! If you solved you problem give me details so I will ask the local agent to do the same thing on mine. Thanks
Hi I am also in SA, where did you get your fuel management system upgrade?
I went to GM motors in Cape Town and they told me that you need to make a log book of you cars fuel consumption for the week then the mechanic will decide if re-mapping your car's CPU is necessary. In other words only if you complain to them that your fuel consumption is higher than it should be will they help you. That is of cause if your car is still under warranty...
Hear you can find the real fuel consumption for Chevrolet Aveo with diesel engine and gassoline. This inofrmation about fule consumption litres/100 km or miles per gallon they are takenf from Chevy Aveo owners manual, Chevrolet Aveo fuel consumption, miles per gallon or litres/ km | Cars Fuel Consumption say that in reality consume a liter more than is written here. So if your car fuel consumption is similar not much to do.
I agree; I tried Wezzo's advice and took my 1.4l Aveo to the Chevrolet dealership in Thailand to ask about this fuel management upgrade. When I told them I was getting around 32mpg they said that was 'good'. So yes, you're right vipercarcom, if someone's Aveo has a consumption similar to the ones shown on that website, there's nothing that can be done.
The only website I've found that might help you see an improvement is ecomodder, but some of the ideas could be dangerous.
All we want to improve the fuel consumption but, but if the engine was made to consume so much, not much to do, only if your car is on gassoline you can put a plant of GPL or LPG, is half the price compared to gassoline.
