What did you do to calibrate yours? The only thing I didn't do yet was set when I filled up. I thought that setting was only used to let you know how may km's you can go on a tank.

First you have to fill up and reset the scangauge. Then you drive until you need to fill up again. When you do fill up, there is a screen to adjust how many gallons you used since the initial fill up. This calibrates it.
Looking at the manual, it appears that you need to let it know when you fill up so the km's to empty gauge works.
In any case, are there any known issues with fuel leaks? Either the scan gauge is not working or the fuel is being dumped somewhere. If I'm doing close to 40mpg on the highway, I should be getting more than 400km on a tank.
Found this thread: http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f106/...20/index4.html
"the pressure port on the Daewoo fuel rails are notorious for leaking fuel..."
Where do I find the pressure port so I can inspect it?
The fuel rail sits right in back of the head above the intake manifold runners.
There doesn't appear to be any visible fuel leak under the hood. If there were, I would probably smell it while driving.
I'm wondering if the problem is very poor aerodynamics. The first two days I used the ScanGauge it was very calm outside and I was apparently getting close to 40mpg's. Today I was driving into a strong headwind and it was reading closer to 31mpg's. It's windy a lot where I am (Manitoba). I guess that could explain the very poor gas mileage. What a sh*ty car. :P I'm not sure how GM stays in business.

Okay, how can I change the aerodynamics? Is there a cover I can get for the front?
Yesterday, with the wind on my back I got 43mpg on the highway. On the return trip, I had the wind on the front and got 32mpg.
What's the name of that plastic piece that hangs down in the front of your car under your bumper? That thing appears to be broken off.
That would be your air dam. Replacing it should help a little, but it isn't going to get you a couple mpg higher, maybe 1 at most. A common modification to get better highway mileage is to block the upper grill to stop as much air from going through the engine bay. The lower grill still provides plenty of cooling.
