MPG will always be different. Different day to day, and different between 2 identical vehicles.

Because there are too many variables involved..

Rolling resistance = Tires Size / tread depth / brand/

      Current Wind speed

      A/C ON/OFF?
      Windows = Open /Closed?
      Auto / manual?
      Cruise Control?
Other accessories, how much is running?
How much stereo equip do you carry around?

      Road surface.

Road elevations - Hilly? Flat? Somewhere in-between?

How clean is your car's exterior? Dirt film or fresh wax?

How much extra stuff are you carrying around?

      How much do you weigh?

      Sunroof open?

      Rear spoiler?

      When do you shift?

      and on and on...

I average around 350 miles per tank, usually fill up right around 10 gallons per fill up.

If I really try to stretch it, run no AC, and keep my RPMS at the lowest point, drive around 60 on the freeway, and also try to never come to a stop I can get upwards of 375-400 miles.

When I took it down to florida (1070 miles one way) my best tank was 430 miles. This was achieved by doing all Freeway, no stopping, during the morning hours (was nice and cool around 50f) and driving around 60.

Yeah I've pushed 380 before. Which is 35 mpg. That's annoying cause I can get 200 miles on half a tank then only 180 on the second half. My guess is cause of the fuel in the filler neck.

i made a joke about how whether you drive it like a granny or load the engine up, highway, city, etc, it always seemed to get around 33 us miles per gallon, i drove it 54mph and got 40ish but it wasnt realistic, but i drive a bit lead footed and i don't think it necessarily makes the mileage worse its about loading the engine pedal to the floor, even at low rpms, but also up to redline, but coasting too
you're right on the money camopaint we might be able to get a couple more mpg's out of the the mass of metal, but hey its fun to drive a slow car fast

It's just annoying that my girlfriends 2013 fusion with the 1.6T gets the same gas mileage and its quicker, heavier, bigger, and more luxuroius.

Personally I would find it very annoying to write out a hefty car payment every month on a car that gets about the same gas mileage as an 06 Aveo. Guess I am easy to please lol

I must have a lemon or something wrong with my 2011 Aveo5. Has 65k miles on it. All tuned up, plugs, tires, filters, tranny flush, all done by GM tech. My fuel economy is 22city 27 highway. I live in Florida. All flat roads. I get between 230/250 miles on a tank of gas. Unbelievable low for such a tiny car. No check engine lights. Car some days runs rough, sometimes bogs down, feels gutless. Then most days is all fine no issues. GM tech says car is fine, nothing is wrong. Recall replacing plugs and boots were done according to GM records by my Vin number. Idk what else to do. This car is a gas guzzler for no reason.

I got about 17 to 19 in the city and maybe 24 on the highway if I was lucky (no A/C but I drove it hard). I get 17.8 combined in my mustang
