I have been trying to stay away from the bigger name gas stations because of price but that doesn't mean I don't use them on occasion like road trips. I have been using costco gas for about 3 years and they seem to have good quality gas and no issues yet. On the olympic peninsula we usually pay about 20 cents higher for gas than those in the Seattle area because the only way to get off the Peninsula is to pay a 4 dollar toll or take a ferry and the refineries take back what the lose at the pump.

Hunter, so you went from one rainy state to the other? But back to the topic, clarkfam, is there any other reasons why you stay away from big name gas stations besides the price?

no other reasons except using the membership that I paid for. I have always liked chevron gas and that's usual what I go for when I am out of town.is there any other reasons why you stay away from big name gas stations besides the price?

Well my last tank gave me 477km out of 36L which is about 7.5l/100km or ~31mpg. A mixture of city driving and "fast" highway driving. Fairly decent I think.
I would really like to see it pass 35mpg though.
I have even seen this car advertised as "50mpg hwy" but I just don't know about that lol.
That would have been a Canadian commercial. My Wave is rated 48mpg hwy and the best I ever got out of it (that I bothered to measure) was 42mpg. Mind you a Canadian gallon is 4.54L and a US gallon 3.78L. Big difference.Originally Posted by byron84
