308 miles
7.85 US gallon
39.2 MPG / 16.7 km / l
Obviously mostly highway (and limiting speed mostly to 60mph)

That's the hard part.Originally Posted by Diddlbiker

Yes, there's some discipline involved, and that's a compliment for the Aveo econobox. It's waaaaay to easy to be doing 75 while thinking you're doing 60...Originally Posted by serega12
Yup. It gets there surprisingly fast... Especially if you had a pleasure of driving it's older brother metro (I got to drive 89 hatch for a while and a 98 sedan for a little), where when you're reaching 55 it seems that you're about to lift off and any movement of the steering wheel will send you into a deadly spin/roll..

Sorry for the necro, was wondering what mileage people are getting nowadays. Personally I've kept a spreadsheet since a month or two of owning the car, and it's interesting to see how much it varies with the type of driving being done (2012 Aveo5 T250 1.6 5-speed manual hatchback). Also interesting is our fuel price, which is steadily creeping up...
My current average is 7.23 L/100km (39.09MPG UK gallons, 32.53MPG US). Some months have been almost exclusively highway driving interspersed by very short distances when I was at University, followed by lots of highway driving with the car full of household items, and in recent weeks it's been with mostly city driving with the occasional longer trip.
I've attached the spreadsheet so far. I've tried to keep it as accurate as possible with recording the odo reading at every complete fill up, skipping the 1.5 months the car was undergoing warranty work and a few places where I filled up with less than a full tank. I'm quite disciplined with my driving, almost always shifting before 3000rpm and usually close to 2000rpm unless a fast pull off is required, and generally don't exceed 120km/h (speed limit on the highways ). Sorry to the US guys, it's all metric...
Points for the attached spreadsheet after it's science
Oh you hurt our feelings here in the US. You use a spreadsheet and don't even bother with a MPG column. /SNARK
My gas mileage was going down and after I got my head fixed (other reasons) I was able to get my MPG back up. It's running about the same numbers as you at Avg 32 MPG.

Precisely, I am a science student after all Glad to hear others are getting similar numbers.
I've been wondering about the "reserve" fuel, i.e. how much further I can go after the fuel light goes on. I haven't yet reached that state but I have filled the car with just under 40l, meaning there was just north of 5l left, and I assume that light goes on at 5l remaining.
In my car it's about a gallon remaining about 3.7 liters. So I suspect it's going to show lower for you than 5 liters.
