I just filled up and on my last tank I got 34 mpg. By far the most I have ever gotten. I have been at the beach and took a few long trips at a cruising speed of 40-50 mph without many stops. I imagine that was an important factor.

If you stay above 42-43mph (get it into overdirve if auto) then you can get those numbers. That is pretty good though.
I drove to NC from Southern NY and averaged 42.2mpg. I stopped once on the way down for lunch and kept it at a steady pace

What kind of mileage have you gotten with other cars? 34 seems a little low for a best tank, but maybe you do a lot of short trips?
Auto? Hatch?
I've only owned two cars and the previous was a 00 honda passport so the mileage was never great with an SUV. I have an automatic hatchback but I travel for work so I do a lot of extended trips(200+ miles roundtrip) and never get above 31.5 mpg.Quote:
