yes it dos. Mine showed up onetime when it was on fumes. I didn't even know it had a low fuel light! It isnt in the manual and I wasn't told I had one when I bought it new in 2006. But it does ha ve one.

I have an 05 Aveo LS Hatchback and my manual says I have an 11.9 gallon tank. It also says that the fuel light come on until there is 1.3 gallons left. Lately my tank has been on the red line when I finally get it filled back up again but I have only managed to get 10.0-10.2 gallons at max. Which still leaves 1.9-1.7 gallons in the tank but nothing lower than the 1.3 gallons to turn on the low fuel light. I would guess that my tank has never gotten low enough to see it but I still don't like to take my chances when the needle is on E haha
