MPG - L/100Km with fuel and LPG

      Hi everyone...

      I drive an 2009 Aveo 1.2LS (1.206ccm/73,59cui; 62/60kw (fuel/LPG)) 2-door hatchback (german model) with a BRC "Sequent Plug&Drive" LPG-system (dealer-installed before delivery).

Whilst running on 98-octane fuel I get those mileages:

      city: 32-34mpg / 7-8L/100km
      overland (many hills): 36-39mpg / 6-6.5L/100km
      highway (at ~75mph - 120km/h): 42-44mpg / 5.3-5.6L/km

The mileage whilst running on LPG is lower but LPG costs less than half per litre:

      city: 24-27mpg / 8.5-10L/100km
      overland (many hills): 32-34mpg / 7-8L/100km
      highway (at ~75mph - 120km/h): 33-36mpg / 6.5-7L/km

All those mileages were done without using the A/C, running the A/C lowers the mileage (approx. minus 3mpg / plus 1-1.5L/100km).

I hope this helps for the mileage statistics.

      Greeting,

      Nautikuus

Just a quick question, you said that your LPG costs less than half per liter, is the difference between premium and regular that big over there??

You have to realize Gas is expensive everywhere else except America and Dubai for obvious reasons. A gallon of gas over there is equivalent to $10 a gallon or more over here in the USA.

I do realize that. It's just that even here and Dubai the difference between regular and premium is still not double the price.

Here in Australia at least, on average it's about $1.30 per litre for unleaded/regular, $1.40 per litre for premium, but on the cheap day they go down as low as $1.10 and $1.25 respectively - premium's nowhere near double in any instance.

yes but at 10-15 cents a liter, thats 38-56 cents per gallon difference between grades..

we typically see a 10-15 cent per gallon difference between grades, and typically have 3.. last time i filled it was 2.79 a gallon for regular 2.89 for premium, and 2.99 for super.. lpg on the other hand i think comes out to 1.65 ish per "gallon" we used to have a lpg gas station near here but that was 2-3 years ago since they closed. when gas was even more.
