Having been a victim of the dreaded Hydro-Lock, beware of putting the intake any place where it may suck up water. Enough water making it's way to the engine and you can kiss it good bye. Water does not compress. Be warned.

I would love to see in the future, some sort of sliding slot near the bumper of cars (similar to gas tank cover, but sliding for high air intake. (good filter would obviously be needed)

This what I did to my Aveo, K&N filter, and Air inlet duct off ebay about $20. and air duct from Lowes. all together about $80 and hour and half labor. Just finished last night 8/3/13 noticed improvement on highway seems to accelerate smoother and with less effort. HP results unsure without dyno.
