I found one of the gauges available in the my Ultra Gauge is an Ambient Air Temp reading. This was not an option my car had so I was surprised to see it. It has been pretty accurate, as much as other car outside temp gauges I see. There is a surprising amount of information in our ECU.

How cool, didn't realize it was such a plug and play device. Thought there was significant wiring involved. Great pictures!

Kind of an old thread, but I have been using my UG now since last July and it has been a huge help in chasing down many of my OBD woes, not to mention all the handy information it provides on the fly. Something that hasn't been mentioned is the ability to see the IM readiness monitor tests. For anyone living in a 'smog check' zone, this is a very handy feature to use the UG to see if the car is ready to pass it's 'smog test', and can save time not to mention money, as it will tell you when the ECM has completed the test. Quite a lot of utility for $70 bucks. It has paid for itself many times over in the few months I have used it.

This thread reminds me of the AeroForce ScanGauges I had in my 1998 Trans Am

Those aeroforce gauges are cool, pretty much the same thing as the UG, except im pretty sure the aeroforce will do a CKP relearn and the UG does not. I almost went with the Interceptor but with my luck the thing would get stolen and I would have a broken window to deal with on top of loosing a $200 guage lol

Not really. BT sucks for real time data feeds, always timed out for me, or was sketchy readings at best, so I like the cable. It is nice to have the higher speed from cable.
