I disagree. I as u know, I have a Versa and a Aveo and in my opinion the Versa is way better, I think its not great looking but neither is the Aveo Sedan, Lets see... Versa: 1.8L engine, way more precise 6 speed(not five) manual, chain driven cams(not belt that breaks at 60k and destroy the engine), tons of more room, way firmer ride, its very easy to see if I'm wrong, go to the trunk of the Versa and push down, quite stiff, than try the Aveo, its got a very soft butt), better materials in the interior, nicer trim on the dash, more comfortable, better stereo and speakers, more trunk room, EQUAL LENGHT CV's!, front air dan goes all the way under the engine to reduce drag and buffeting, black body clading all the way around(looks cool to me), btw I get better mileage of my Versa(but to be fair, in the Versa I fell/drive slow. I drive the Aveo quite hard so that is probably the reason I get lower mileage) the bad? Yeah! its a bitch to do any major work, its is a very complex engine but so is Honda/Toyota. Ugly? Yeah! not my cup of tea as far as design but could be worst, it could look like the 'RAT' car the Soul, or have the stupid looking center dash of the Yaris. The Aveo? much better looking(hatch), easier and simpler to work(thanks GM Daewoo), cheaper parts, great potencial to be customized, smaller so takes less room in my garage, has that EURO look inside and out that is simple but functional.
Yeah, u guys steped on my toes on this... I have the Aveo in the house, I would not trade it for the wife's Nissan, but would I trade it for a Fit? Hell, yeah. Would I pay the extra cost for a Fit? Hell, no! For now it is the perfect car for me.
Last but not least 'Beauty is on the eye of the beholder'!
