Chevrolet Aveo sedan and U-VA hatchback could go out of production soon
General Motors India is all set to replace two aging cars in its line up, the Chevrolet Aveo sedan and the U-VA hatchback with all new models. The Aveo and the U-VA is very likely to go out o production as sales have been very slow to say the least. A big reason for slow sales is due to the fact that both cars do not have diesel engines in their line up.
In the second half of 2012, General Motors India will launch the Sail hatchback, which is anticipated to replace the U-VA, while the end of this year could see the Sail sedan replacing the Aveo. Therefore, if you’re looking to buy a sedan or a B+ segment hatchback from the GM stable, we’d suggest that you wait a bit.
Both the Sail hatchback and sedan have been developed by General Motors’ Chinese division along with SAIC, mainly for the Chinese market, where these cars have already gone on sale.
