Official: next generation Aveo will debut (in 2011) as 2012 model

Some news reports were suggesting the new Aveo would show up as a 2011 model year car.

Apparently not.

Chevy has updated its model specs on its website, including 2011 Aveo stats.

And there's not much new to report for the final year of the current car, except:

That's what I expected.... does that delay the debut of Spark then?

I haven't really been following the Spark news as closely.

But I can tell you that I've read from a semi-official source that the first 2012 production Aveos are scheduled to come off the line in May 2011.

still almost a year left. Gives me enough time to enjoy my new toy, find a job, and decide if I want to stay with Aveos our move on to another hatch.
