      08 Aveo Electrical Issue

      Hi Guys,

I have recently developed an issue with my 08 Aveo hatchback.

The side repeaters for the indicators (both sides) and also the trunk lamp has stopped working. I have replaced the bulbs but they still do not work. What is odd (may not happen) is that I expected that for an indicator bulb gone it makes it flash faster but this is not happening?

Any ideas as I have no idea where to start with looking at fuses / relays

      Thanks in advance

      Mike

I would check the fuses first, the panel under the hood is behind the battery towards the firewall. The other fuse panel is on the left side of the dash, where the driver door almost touches the dash. Chewy is an '05, and yours is an '08 so their might be a few differences. I have no doubt that you will be able to find the fuse panels. The fuses should be labeled on the inside of the panel covers, it should be very straight forward for what things are.

Check the Relays as well when you're poking around. Also if your car has key-less entry, sit inside and lock it. The main Anti-Theft module is in the center console under the e-brake, the Air Bag Control Module is also there. I would assume it's close to the same in your '08. The Anti-Theft Module has it's own relay for flashing the lights. Locking the car clicks in a different place, and using the Hazard Button, or turn signal arm uses the main relay in the fuse panel.

      Hope this helps,

Please ask if something isn't clear...

      Best of luck,
      -Andrew
