08 aveo. how to test tps?

my girlfriend has an Aveo that has had some odd problems as of late.
She is pregnant with our baby girl, 22 weeks, and this car isnt safe the way it sits,

It started a few mnths ago kinda idling rough, and bogging except when you just baby the throttle, then it runs ok.
It showed O2 sensor code so I replaced it and It was great....

Next, the exact same symptom. ... so I scanned the obd port.... it said it was a misfire on cyl 1 or 4.... it changed periodicaly.... and o2 sensor, and cat below efficeny.,, and a few other things...
It ended up not being anything it read, rather it was the spark plugs were really old and the gap was erroded out...so after new plugs and a coil pack,... problem solved...

Currently, it is throwing all kinds of code that are never the same, one day it saying cyl1 misfire, then its slow o2 sensor responce, then nothing, then blah blah...

its same symptoms again, but this time a bit worse... almost no power periodicaly, but after thourough attempts to figure it out, im pointing at the TPS sensor or MAF( if it has one)

this time its popping into the intake, at cirtain loads and pedal positions... usually low rpm and up hill.

WHAT I need to know... is how to check the TPS AND MAF

what is the process of checking these parts? such as wire values on a multi meter, and procedure.
I really think its the tps because i fiddled with the butterfly and opened it a few times with my hand, looking up the intake, and it threw a code about it being forced into position or something, but ran almost perfect for a couple hours and slowly went back to the way it was... like it had been affected by the movement,,

So any help PLEASE cheecking out the TPS and MAF wire values to know for sure would be great....
Ive worked in shops my whole life, and used and have some very top end diagnostics tools, and fixed about all you can immmagine,, but this car has run me crazy for a month now, and im at witts end.

Thanks yall... or if the sputtering and missing and jerking, weird shifting, lack of nearly any power and occasianaly works fine when you kinda chase the rpm with the throttle... if that sounds like something youve run accross, please give me the heads up
