2004 Aveo Hatchback - wheeless tire spinning when engine on?

Hi guys, first official post. So I just now got through replacing timing belt, water pump, pulleys, accessory belt, & thermostat. I've got the passenger side up on a jackstand with the tire off.

Finally got everything put back together to where I could start the engine and make sure everything was cool.
I noticed while the engine was on and warming up that the passenger side wheel spins slowly while the tire is not on? Does that make sense?

Just wanting to be sure this is normal before putting the splash shields back on and installing tire.

      Thanks, y'all!

Sorry, 5 speed manual transmission. I got everything back together earlier and did the 5 mile drive to check coolant system, everything seems fine now. Was just wondering if the wheel was supposed to do that. It was in neutral.

Yeah, I've seen that before. I would say it's a tiny amount of friction causing the input shaft to turn slowly. You could stop that wheel hub from rotating with 1 finger.

Everything buttoned up and working properly? Nice to have that job done!

yep, all working great! It is nice to be completed with it... was riding my bike to work, & this OK heat was killing me!

A friend told me the same thing with the wheel. Nothing to worry about.
      Thank you, though!
