2004 aveo stalls while driving then restarts and runs fine-

It's my daughters car so most info is second hand. Ar least once a week she calls and tells me her car stalled while driving down the road. She "thinks" that the rpms went up without the car going faster before the stall--this may nit be real.. anyway, I go to the car and with a bit of pumping the throttle pedal it will restart-run rough for a few seconds and then run fine until the next time. It occassionaly throws p1781 and p0700 codes but not every time it happens. I was told that a faulty TCM could make it stall while driving-is that true??

Anyway, any help diagosong the problem would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks, I had read that before. It doesnt really pertain to the stalling problem. I doubt its the TCM because it also stalls in park at an idle. Its seems like th fuel just shuts off. then it will restart and runs fine for a while.

Solved. The crank shaft sensor was bad and signaling the ignition and fuel to shut down. I replaced it and all is well.
