2004 Aveo will not start
I have a 2004 Aveo that has been sitting for 5 years as it was my fathers car who passed away years ago and now I am trying to get it running for my daughter to use. It only has 5k miles on it but after charging the battery it will not start. If I spray starting fluid in the intake it will fire but runs only long enough to burn the starting fluid. All fuses are good. Any suggestions?

I am assuming that you have not drained the fuel from the tank and the lines. After 5 years of sitting the fuel will be rotten and may even have varnished the pump motor. Drain the fuel, remove the fuel cap and have a helper listen into the tank when you first turn the key on. If you don't hear the pump fire up, try hitting the bottom of the tank with a mallet. If the pump comes to life, it is on its way out and should be replaced. If it remains dead, check the power and ground circuits to the pump.

battery is probably toast too

i agree with the fuel pump. even if the pump works, pull it out and check the lines, the plastic lines in the fuel tank will deteriorate from the corn in the gas.
