how do you know its the head gasket? do a compression/cylinder leakdown test?
i checked the oil its all gray and i started getting a ton of white smoke out the back
Yes, the color gray is a good indicator that water has mixed with the oil. Still, there may be no permanent damage to the engine. There was none to mine when it happened to me. After I fixed the leak, the engine ran fine. Good luck.
