Every case is different, it's mainly dependent on three things:
      Speed (moving)
      Speed (rpm)
And whether or not you tried to start it again.

There's no guarantee that the pistons will need to be replaced, nor that the valves will even be bent.

You were traveling at a decent speed, and you tried to start it after as well. Both bad things in this case, and if you're in the automatic, your revs would've been around 2.5k-2.7k at 70mph (112km/h).

My guess is: valves bent to shiznits, and at least damage to two pistons. Maybe minor scuffs on the others? Either way, you need to rebuild the head, and you need to take it apart to know what parts to replace.

      EDIT: Misread your post completely!

There's normally subtle divots in the pistons, but it probably wouldn't hurt to have them resurfaced. The valves are the ones that take the heavy blow since they're not as hefty.

Good luck! I'll leave the info I already typed, who knows it may help someone.
