do you hear the pump prime?

try switching out the fuel pump relay with another in the fuse box to test the relay?

check the schrader valve for fuel pressure?

verify spark?

the code points to a shorted out fuel sending unit. you could buy one off ebay used for much much cheap, and still comes with a warranty.
