      2005 no fuel pressure

      NEED Help,long story short,2005 aveo with 72K miles breaks tensioner pulley and timing belt breaks and bends valves,head and valves replaced,wont start due to fuel pump wont run,replaced pump and still no pressure,wherecan a wiring diagram for aveo be found.All fuses are good but never primes pump or starts.Will start with starting fluid.The sensor under oil filter has 8.6 volts on yellow/stripe wire,dont understand why its not 12,I was told this is in series with prime of pump,would lower volts cause pump not to run,HELP!!!

      did you check the fuel pump relay?

      yes ,have checked relay and even switched with another,does fuel pump relay get power directly from ECM,what would keep relay from energizing allowing pump to run,starts with starting fluid but not on its own

      UPDATE,I do have fuel pressure but injectors arent pulsing fuel,gauge was stuck,when i removed it gas sprayed out and I checked it with another gauge.what would keep injectors from working?? fse is good,is there any safty controls that could stop injectors,is there a gas shutoff relay?

      Does your rpm gauge move at all while cranking? RPM PID on scanner show cranking RPM? Do your injectors receive power? Is the ground being pulsed. All fuses and splice packs ok?

      Quick question guys.. I have an aveo 06' hb , am a little bit worried because the temp guage goes close to middle after a few minutes.. Is this normal ? Am planning to go for a long drive this week but worried that the engine might over heat.. Pls help me out.. Thanks..

      cant see rpm gauge while cranking and I dont remember seeing it before all th is started, ,all splice packs ok,fuses good,wontsee rpm until motor is running correct,is there a fuel shutoff that would disablle injectors,Im going to scan today and see what comes up

      If the ecm doesn't see the engine running, it won't pulse injector ground.

      Are you saying your tach needle isn't moving at all while cranking the engine? How did you check the splice packs?

      Did you find the wiring diagram or description of operation you were looking for?

      tach needle not moving while cranking,correct,splice packs all seem tight although I havent checked each one with a meter,I still havent been able top locate a wiring diagram.Are you saying injectors wont spray until engine is running
