2006 Aveo - 283,000 Miles - New Owner - What should I watch for?

How is that possible with a Aveo? lol! I have a 2004 and 2008 and the 2008 is sitting my field with a bad clutch! The timing belt is pretty much the life of an Aveo.

Was slow at work today. Did some stuff to the Aveo. One thing I did was replacing the valve cover gasket. This engine has 284,600 miles on it. This is what an engine looks like when the oil has been changed every 3,000-4,000 miles. Ignore the damn oil life monitor. I see so many engines full of sludge with not even 60,000 miles on them because of ****ty maintenance. Conventional oil = 3,000 mile changes. Synthetic blend = 5,000 miles and Full Synthetic = 6,000. The cam at the bottom of then engine, exhaust cam, has pools of oil under it, not sludge.

I'll be doing a clutch this summer. I'd scared it might be original. I did a Saturn once... it was broken in 4 pieces... and It still worked for the most part.
