      2007 Aveo5 Power Window broke

Yesterday, the drivers window broke. It's a power Window. The motor is still running and I can hear it when I press the button, however it seems that whatever holds or clip[s onto the window may have broken off. When it stopped working, I heard a clunk sound like something broke off. Is this common, and is this easy to fix? Is it likely that I will need to buy parts?

I found these instructions that show how to take the door panel off, but it doesn't show what is behind the thin plastic layer, which I assume where all of the components are. Does anyone have a picture of that?

Yeah, the components are behind that. Once you take the plastic off it'll probably be easy to see what is going on when you try to operate the window.

I purchased the car certified used from a dealership.
Apparently the power windows on this car were put in aftermarket.
I called the dealership and they had no record of the aftermarket installation and didn't know what part to recommend.

So I brought it to a place that does window/glass repair and they couldn't fix it.
The mechanic took the door panel off and confirmed that the unit was combined (?) (It had the motor and regulator in one piece I believe he said). But since it wasn't an OEM part, he had no idea which part to recommend.

So I still need to figure out how I am going to get this fixed, or atleast how I can find out what part I need. I didn't foresee this happening with a certified used vehicle.

So there is a logical answer to finding the part. Make the assumption, that somebody did this as a DIY. So they had to get parts and most likely they found something that works on Ebay. So you can look there. Also you can figure out what's broken and post a picture here.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

Can you at least tell what broke? Might be able to repair the regulator, if finding an exact replacement is too difficult. Far as I know 'certified used' just means you are paying too much for the same car, just a marketing slogan IMO. Hope you can get it fixed.
