Hi there! So I just bought a (used) 2007 Chevy Aveo 5 Hatchback with approx. 50,000k miles on it.
I'm having a problem with a real bad grinding noise...
When I make a (sharp) Right turn, you can hear a deep metal on metal grinding sound coming from the passenger side of the car. When I make a (sharp) Left turn you can hear the same metal on metal grinding to a lesser extend. You can feel the grinding in the steering wheel, but as of now it is not affecting the steering. I've been told a bunch of different 'ideas' as to what this grinding could be (i.e. a bearing being out, the steering knuckle needing to be replaced, etc..) I was hoping that somehow, someone over the internet could point me in a closer direction to the source of my problem so I don't have to spend a bunch of money fixing what's NOT broken on my car.
NOTE: I first thought the noise was coming from the BACK passenger tire, but now I'm PRETTY SURE (not positive) that it's coming from the FRONT passenger tire.
Any help/ideas are welcome....
Thanks.
