Hi All!!
I am new to the forum. I got a 2009 Chevy Aveo a few weeks ago and I must say, its giving me headaches already!
The car starts, and can sometimes drive for 2 miles, but sometimes 100 feet, before it will no longer move (Transmission in Drive but car just revs) and it does the same in R. If I shut it down, wait a minute or two I can drive again, for a short distance before it happens again.
I brought it to a Chevrolet dealer here in Hawaii and they pulled a code regarding the TCU, saying it is faulty and needs to be replaced. A friend of mine has the same exact car, so I decided to put his TCU into my car, but it does the exact same thing again.
Furthermore, vehicle is whining very loudly, as if there is no P/S fluid or as if a pulley is super loud. I seem to pinpoint the noise coming from the A/T. I hope that someone can help me out! Any comments/suggestions are much appreciated.
Things I have checked:
1. A/T fluid (good)
2. P/S fluid (good)
3. TCU swap (same problem so I figure mine is good)
