my battery died because i left the lights on. i had to get jump started. after that the check engine light came on. i hooked it up to a code reader and got "powertrain control module ram error" back. it was the only code that was setting it off. and i tried to clear it out and it just come back on. i asked the kid who jumped me and he said his check engine light came on for about a day then went back off. i took it to a chevy garage and they hooked it up and they reset the whole computer in the car (reprogrammed and updated it). the mechanic then drove it around the lot for a while to see if the check engine light would come back on and he said when he come back in that it didnt. as soon as i went out and started it back up it was back on. so i went back in and asked about it and they told me the next thing they would have to do is go through and check all of the ground wires. (theres several pages of them) they said it would cost over 200 dollars. i dont have that money to spend especially if they cant guarantee its going to fix the problem. any suggestions or related problems with solutions? any sort of help would be greatly appreciated! thanks
