I have a 2011 aveo5, the obd wasn't reading. I just got the car. Put a fuse in and it blows immediately. I read something about disconnecting the onstar module so I did that but now it won't start. The fuse no longer blows until I plug the white plug back in.

Wondering if I can just replace the module from another car. Looks like it's pretty universal.

My concern is the car hits 60 and just lags. Check engine light on and if I floor it to get on the highway it just revs and barely increases speed.

Any ideas on why the module would cause the obd2 fuse to blow? I mean it's bright and hot when it blows.
