Turned out not to be either. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. Trying to figure out my way around this forum and not doing so well. No check light. I'll have to ask my husband when he gets home exactly what the part was. The car would just stop. Nothing. The unit sat on top of the engine toward the back. It was a quick fix around $250.One thing about this car (or any vehicles since we live in AZ) is that hoses do not last. All the hoses to the ac, air intake, etc, have been replaced. The are not cheap. My husband has taken to making them and it's worked out great. Example: one 2 l/2 foot 4" diameter was $250 - he made it for $20 (just in case anyone else might want to tackle that and save yourself money)
