2013 Aveo sudden multiple issues while driving

Hi all, I have a 2013 Aveo 1.4l sedan in just under 90k km. I didn't have any issues by now but today on the highway suddenly the slip light came up(hot and dry weather), the odometer started showing 0km/h and 0 RPM.Then the power steering turned off and it was really difficult to turn the steering wheel. The engine was still running the whole time. I stopped by the road, turned it off, waited for a few minutes and turned it on - no issues for another hour of driving. Do you have an idea what happened and how it can be fixed? Thank you!

Could be power steering on it's way out, a wiring issue, or even be an ECU problem. Best buy and carry a ODB2 scanner and scan for error codes now and if it happens again. You can get cheap ones for like $10 that will do the job.

Thank you for the suggestions! I doubt a problem with the power steering as it was and is still working without an issue before and after the incident. Electric or computer problem is much more likely to be the culprit as I didn't have and still don't have a problem with the odometer and RPM after that so such global 'glitch' doesn't correspond to a mechanical failure.
