AC Problem

Hello All,

New here and need a little assistance. My GF just recently bought an 07 Aveo5. When we got it the AC wasn't working, but she didn't care, so I didn't even mess with it. Eventually it got warm enough that she mentioned it, so I looked and it had no freon. So I put some in and she got cool air. Wasn't cold, but I was out of freon, so told her I would get some more later and fill it. Finally put some back in and won't get cold at all. Talked with my dad (GM Mechanic for 20+ years) and he said possibly orifice tube was clogged, but I looked and don't think this has one. Soooo, any ideas where to go from here?

All AC systems have either an orifice tube or and expansion valve. It's hard to diagnose AC problems over the internet. You better take it to someone that knows what they are doing. If you have too much freon in the system, the evaporator core will freeze and the AC won't work.
