I quick checked those tonight, gotta check them again later, and look for other loose plugs.

I will think of a better signature later.
Anyone have a troubleshooting list for air bags. I am pretty sure its on the driver side. The weight sensor on the passenger side still works and the air bag off light turns off when I sit in that seat. I am checking fuses next, but leaning toward driver seat sensor. Don't want to over look anything though.

My airbag light on my 2009 aveo5 comes on radom as well. I fugured out its when I move the passenger seat forward or back is the cause. something to do with the wires going up into the seat. 1st time I had it looked at the dealer said it was a wire unplugged under the seat and charged me $60 to plug it back in, so now i just simply wiggle the wire under the seat and the light goes off like clock work....
smart airbags aren't so smart. especially in an economy class car.
I would be glad to reach out to the dealer and ask about the Airbag Light coming on at random. Like I mentioned in my earlier post wiggling the wire doesn't sound like a solution. If so, please private message me your VIN#, name, address, current mileage and involved dealer if you like me to further research. Airbags are there for our safety. Have a great weekend!

Here is what I was able to locate that might be causing it:
Chevrolet Aveo 2008 - Air bags - car safety information, failing parts, recalls, bulletins, complaints
070941007 05/01/2009 SB-07-09-41-007A 10023980 Airbag readiness light on, dtc's 52, 56, b1378 and/or b1382 set (install updated side airbag connector).
Might need a new connector.
Hi. I had the same problem. In my case it was a weak battery. The code on all airbag sensors was showing low voltage. After swapping the battery I had the code cleared and it has not comback. I had the same issue with my suzuki Forenza. It had a dead battery and I changed it, then had the codes cleared. They have not returned. I hope this helps.
I have the same problem. This started back in February for me.
sometimes it is the "handicap man" other times the passenger sensor is off with no one in the passenger seat.
There is a Technical Service Bulletin out there for this issue, but when I took it to the dealer for inspection I informed them of this and wanted it taken care of. They did "$90 worth of checking" before calling to say that my car didn't fall under this Technical Service and it would involve taking apart the entire console to check.
I said eff that, Ill wait until I decide to get an AC unit for it.
I do have a theory though: Does anyone with this problem have the Aveo 5 SVM or an aftermarket radio?
