alarm going off for no reason?

Ok so i woke up this morning and i was told that my car alarm kept going off. i checked it thinking someone was messing with it and it didn't look like anything was wrong. o yea i just have the stock alarm and keyless entry on it. so i set the alarm and waited a minute or two and it went off again for no reason. Im just wondering if there is anything i can do to troubleshoot this problem.

check the hood switch, low battery, and door trunk locks?

My bet is on the hood switch and wiring are corroded.
