Haven't had to deal with rusty exhaust pipes for many years, and thought they were history. But apparently not on our Aveos My 2005 sprung a leak just above the clamp on the input pipe attached to the muffler. After checking the various pipes, I see lots of rust, and expect to see other sections having problems in the near future. I'll just throw on a temp fix to get by for now, but am also considering what to do for the long-term. I'm thinking I probably should just go ahead and replace everything from the flex pipe on back, even though the muffler itself doesn't look bad. The access to the hangers look to be ok, and it doesn't seem like an ugly job (I'm probably going to regret saying that half way into the job). Has anyone gone through this yet on an early Aveo?
